Mauritius will soon welcome the very first Anantara resort in one of the most beautiful corners of the island, Blue Bay.
Anantara Le Chaland Resort is expected to open at the end of 2019 and will offer laid-back beachfront holidays on the turquoise-blue waters of the protected marine park on the south-east coast.
The rooms will have a wide view of the pristine beaches.
Blue Bay is admired for having the island’s most ideal diving and snorkelling spots.
The resort will cater to families, couples, honeymooners, and anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with access to Mauritius’s pristine coral reefs.

Guests will be able to enjoy water sports such as glass-bottomed kayaking, snorkelling, diving, and deep-sea fishing. The hotel has 164 rooms, a beachside restaurant, a swimming pool, a gym, and a spa.
One of the biggest drawcards is the location, which is only 5km away from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.
Another feather in Anantara Hotels & Resorts’ cap is its global ban on single-use plastic straws which was implemented at all of its properties worldwide on October 1 2018.
