FlySafair is expanding its network with new routes connecting Johannesburg’s Lanseria International Airport (HLA) to the Eastern Cape, starting 1 November 2025.

The airline will operate six weekly flights to East London’s King Phalo Airport and daily services to Gqeberha’s Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport, offering more choice and convenience for travellers ahead of the summer holidays, as reported by Travel News.
Lanseria – East London flight schedule
- Mon, Thu, Fri, Sun: FA330 departs Lanseria at 06:45, arriving in East London at 08:25. Return FA331 departs at 09:00, landing in Lanseria at 10:35.
- Tue: FA332 departs Lanseria at 06:35, arriving in East London at 08:15. Return FA333 departs at 08:50, arriving in Lanseria at 10:25.
- Wed: FA336 departs Lanseria at 16:55, arriving in East London at 18:35. Return FA337 departs at 19:10, landing in Lanseria at 20:45.
Lanseria – Gqeberha flight schedule
- Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sun: FA324 departs Lanseria at 16:55, arriving in Gqeberha at 18:45. Return FA325 departs at 19:20, landing in Lanseria at 21:05.
- Wed: FA326 departs Lanseria at 06:35, arriving in Gqeberha at 08:25. Return FA327 departs at 09:00, landing in Lanseria at 10:45.
- Sat: FA328 departs Lanseria at 06:45, arriving in Gqeberha at 08:35. Return FA329 departs at 09:10, landing in Lanseria at 10:55.
Tickets are already on sale, with fares starting from R770 one way.
“We’re thrilled to be adding these new routes to the Eastern Cape from Lanseria, which were previously only accessible via OR Tambo. The launch comes just in time for the upcoming summer holiday season,” says Kirby Gordon, Chief Marketing Officer at FlySafair.
The move is expected to boost regional tourism and make Eastern Cape getaways more accessible for Gauteng travellers.
