Research conducted by ParkSleepFly analysed view counts of national parks globally to determine which is the most popular. Kruger National Park (KNP) placed ninth on the list with an impressive 98.7 million views, beating the Redwood National Park in the United States.
In the top 10, the United States takes seven spots, including the national parks of Denali, Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree, Glacier and Yosemite.
During the 2019 South African National Parks (SANParks) Week – in which free entry for all for one week – KNP was visited the most, according to News24. In that same year, KNP had 45,541 day visitors, along with a staggering total of 237,287 visitors since the inception of the SANParks Week in 2006.
