Let your children learn from driving pros at the Killarney Track School

Posted on 17 February 2022 By Chloe Cowley

As of recent, many driving enthusiasts have been booking their teenage children in to learn from experienced driving instructors in a safe and controlled environment. Here they learn the finer points of car control whilst everyone is moving in the same direction around the track.

There is no better way to focus a bored teenagers mind than letting them accelerate around a corner whilst focusing on exactly what the car is telling them.

Killarney Track School invites you to bring your youngster to the next Street-Car Track Day from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm on Saturday 19 February. As long as he or she has a valid driving license they can get ready to become driving enthusiasts for life. Bring as many ‘crew members’ as you please and Killarney invites you to walk across the bridge to relax in the Joubert Pits Lounge which has fantastic elevated views of the circuit. This is the best place to get amazing videos and pictures of your children coming down the main straight at top speeds.

But let’s go on.

Not only this, but on-the-go snacks and light meals will be readily available from the lounge as well as the best coffee in Cape Town from Mike at the Pronto coffee station.

There are lots of lucky draw spot prizes to be given away by their sponsors at Peninsula Beverages, KWV and Project Sixty60. Just be at the drivers’ briefing meeting in the morning to claim our prize!

The cost for drivers from the Western Province Motor Club is R550 and R690 for non-members. The cost for passengers whether they are Club members or not is R200 each. It is compulsory to bring your own crash helmet due to Covid-19 regulations and pre-booking is mandatory for both drivers and passengers.
