For foodies, a great slice of pizza is a form of romance to the tastebuds. When that pizza craving hits, there are fortunately a number of excellent establishments that stand ready to satisfy it.

Whether you favour thin crust pizzas or are more of a Neapolitan purist who prefers classic wood-fired dough, the Western Cape province has a slice of happiness for you.

Pizza Shed

If you’re a pizza lover, Pizza Shed is the place to be. The establishment’s superb pizza stands out because of its dough, which is left to rise for 48 hours before being hand-stretched and wood-fired.

You can expect to enjoy a delicious leopard-spotted charred crust and unbelievably yummy toppings. Tasty vegan options are also available. There are outlets in Observatory and on Bree Street.

Club Kloof

Club Kloof is a trendy pizzeria with quirky artwork and red splashed walls.  It serves delicious Italian-cuisine and pizza which is absolutely to die for!

The pizza is made from the highest quality ingredients, consists of a light and tasty base, as well as flavourful toppings. You can expect tasty pizzettes instead of your standard pizza size.

Ciao Pizza

Ciao Pizza is in the heart of Cape Town’s city centre. The establishment’s delicious wood-fired pizzas are 100% Halaal. The menu also comes with plenty of vegetarian options.

If you prefer to down your pizza with a glass of wine or an ice cold beer, it is worth nothing that Ciao Pizza unfortunately does not serve alcohol. However, they offer a good choice of sparkling juices and mocktails.

I Love The Dough

The lively I Love The Dough eatery is located near the bottom of buzzy Kloof Street. It is in a colourful food hall and boasts Instagrammable décor and attractive neon lighting.

The eatery’s menu consists of a variety of different pizzas, including vegan options. It is the place to be if you enjoy a deliciously chewy crust, an excellent wide range of toppings and awesome vibes.
