The initiative was made possible by TMACC staff, who spent Friday preparing thousands of sandwiches ahead of their distribution on Mandela Day.

The annual drive forms part of the Cableway Company’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities that live and work around Table Mountain. By partnering with local beneficiary organisations, the initiative ensures that the donations reach those who need them most.

TMACC thanked its staff members for their enthusiasm and dedication in making the Mandela Day campaign possible, highlighting the importance of collective action and community service.

Observed annually on 18 July, Mandela Day encourages people around the world to dedicate time to making a positive difference in their communities, continuing the legacy of former President Nelson Mandela through acts of kindness and service.
