The season features more than 300 voyages across destinations including the Indian Ocean, Canary Islands, Caribbean, South America, and Northern Europe, with a special focus on extended “big winter breaks” to warmer regions, as reported by Cruise Arabia.
AIDAblu will homeport in Cape Town, offering a variety of itineraries from November 2027 through March 2028. Guests can choose 14-night cruises along South Africa and Namibia, departing from Cape Town and calling at East London, Durban, Port Elizabeth, and Walvis Bay.
Longer adventures are also on the calendar. A 28-night voyage departing 24 November 2027 combines South African coastal ports with Mauritius and La Réunion for an extended southern African experience.
Another 28-night journey starting 8 December 2027 explores South Africa’s coast, Maputo in Mozambique, La Réunion, Mauritius, and the Seychelles, delivering a true tropical escape.
Early 2028 sees AIDAblu repositioning from Mauritius, offering a 27-night itinerary from 16 February that links the Indian Ocean islands with South African ports, including Maputo, Durban, East London, and Port Elizabeth, before returning to Cape Town and onward to Mauritius. The season concludes with a 14-night South Africa and Namibia cruise departing 29 February 2028, visiting Port Elizabeth, East London, Lüderitz, and Walvis Bay.
This season marks a significant return for AIDA Cruises to South Africa, blending coastal highlights with exotic island experiences for travellers seeking a memorable winter getaway.
